Why Tests Must Run Automatically
Manual testing doesn't scale and gets skipped under pressure.
Humans forget, machines don't
A human tester skips steps when rushed or bored. A pipeline runs the exact same suite, in the same order, every single time a change is pushed — consistency you can rely on.
A safety net
Automated tests in CI are a trapeze artist's safety net: invisible when you don't need it, but it's there on every single attempt — you never have to consciously decide to check it before a jump.
Make it a gate, not a suggestion
Tests must block the pipeline on failure, not just warn. A test suite that's easy to ignore is a test suite people will eventually ignore.
