Test your site without a mouse and with a screen reader.

Testing checklist

  1. Use Tab to navigate. 2. Disable mouse in DevTools. 3. Test with screen reader (NVDA free on Windows). 4. Resize text 200%. 5. Use grayscale mode. 6. Test on mobile. 7. Read page outline via heading structure. 8. Check alt text on images.

NVDA quick start

Download free NVDA for Windows. Start with Browse Mode (arrow keys). Use Focus Mode (Enter) for forms. Alt+N toggles Browse/Focus.

Keyboard-only testing

Disconnect mouse completely. Use only: Tab (forward), Shift+Tab (backward), Enter (activate), Escape (close), Arrow keys (navigate).
